Lily Red Riding Hood

I'm throwing a Little Red Riding Hood Themed birthday party for my daughter Lily next month. Last week when I checked my mail, I got a little gift from Blurb.com. I made this awesome little book to go along with my daughter's party. She's going to be so excited to get this book in the mail.

West Elm

It's been an exciting week! West Elm is now carrying a few of our Say Hello clocks in their Salt Lake store in the City Creek Shopping center. They've collaborated with a few Etsy artists to bring a Mini Etsy shop to West Elm.

Not only are they selling some of my clocks, but they also asked me to do an installation art piece for their Grand Opening tomorrow! I had so much fun making it. Thank you West Elm, for the opportunity! And thank you for coming to Salt Lake City! I can't wait to go shopping.

Trot for Trisha

I haven't had much time to blog this year (if you haven't already noticed). My little sister has two grade 3 inoperable brain tumors. She has had 4 surgeries since her diagnosis, and it getting ready for another surgery next month. This past month I've been busy planning a fundraiser to help my sister with her medical bills. If you are in Utah (South Jordan area) and would like to attend the 5k Race that I'm planning for this Saturday at 8:30AM, you can find more information about the Race by CLICKING HERE. If you are not a runner we are also holding a Raffle and Bake Sale at the event. Local businesses & neighbors have been very generous in donating awesome items for the raffle. There will also be a professional face painter and a Kids run.

You can read my sister's story by CLICKING HERE.

I hope to start blogging on a more regular basis this fall.

Winner of my Pinterest Contest!

Thank you for entering my contest! For each pin I got last/this week, I put the submitters name next to that item into a bowl for a random drawing to win that particular item. I would have posted the winner earlier, but it turns out... it takes a long time to write down each name next to each item picked. I'll be sure to simplify next time. LOL.

The winner is: Anita Recksiedler for a DIY Wooden Banner kit. Anita, be sure to let me know which of the 3 kits you prefer. I'm also going to need your mailing address, so be sure to contact me here with your information, and I'll get you banner in the mail for you. Congratulations!

Re-pin it to Win it!

We're going to play a game. Next Tuesday, June 26th I'm going to put everyone who re-pinned an item into a hat & randomly pick one winner.
Here's how to play. Anytime between now and June 26th, visit my "Say Hello Products" board on Pinterest and re-pin at least one item for your chance to win that item. Each item you re-pin, you will get one entry in the hat for a chance to win that very item.

Table top recipe boxes

I just added some new recipe boxes to my shop. These make great wedding and housewarming gifts. I also have a DIY version available if you want to paint one to match your own kitchen.

P.S. I've had a lot of customers worried about My Cute Stamps... We aren't closing... we are just re-thinking how we do business. We'll be up and running with new products soon! Thanks for your concern.

I'm back!

It's been a while since I've blogged. Life has been crazy. We sold our Vinyl business (Vinyl Wall Art.com), sold our house and moved, attended a few funerals & weddings. Moved my sister out of her house, and cleaned out my mom's basement after a major flood.

But I'm finally back, and I have lots of new products that I'm going to be adding to my web-shop in the next few weeks.
I found a new supplier for some of my wood. Which means I can pass my savings on to my customers. I've slashed the price for my DIY photo-props kit almost in half. Now you can get this kit (set of 5) for $5.50 USD.

Yellow Butterflies

My grandpa passed away last week. He was by far the coolest person I knew. His favorite color was yellow. For his funeral tomorrow, everyone will be wearing a yellow accent. Since my kids and I don't have any Funeral worthy, yellow accessories, I made us these yellow butterfly hair-clips & pins. I miss you grandpa!

Night Owl Baby Shower Part II

I love throwing baby & wedding showers. This is exactly what I needed after a crazy week. I find making party favors relaxing & enjoyable.
*I know, I spelled advice wrong. It was late last night when I made the book. I realized this morning after the shower started.

DIY Cupcake Stands

I just added these new DIY wooden cupcake stands to the shop. If you are in the Salt Lake area, I'll also be teaching a class on how to put these together this month.

Pinterest Party

My friend is having a Pinterest party. We are going to exchange gifts we made from Pinterest White Elephant style. I made this bow garland, but I'm still deciding if this is what I'm going to bring to the exchange or If I should make something else.

2012 Valentines Day Cards

This year, I'm having this printed onto a 6" x 4" photo from Wal-Mart (9 cents per photo). Then, I'll cut the card into 2 pieces for my kids to hand out to their friends & class-mates. My older daughter will write the names of whom she is giving the Valentine to, in the red heart area.

Total price for 64 cute & customized valentines: $2.88. They can also be used as bookmarks for Grandparents.

If you have any photo editing software on your computer, this is a fun way to save money on Valentine cards this year.

Adding color for a dollar

I found a box of these sequin balls at Pier 1 in the Christmas clearance section ($1). They were easy to string & perfect for my New Year mantel decor.
